22 October 2016 0000

The 22nd October is the final day of Caspian Construction Week at Baku Expo Centre. This largest event of the Caspian region in the construction industry brought together three main trade events - the 22nd Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition, BakuBuild 2016; the 9th International Exhibition for Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Water Supply, Sanitary, Environmental Technology, Swimming Pool and Renewable Energies, Aquatherm Baku 2016; and the 9th  Caspian International Protection, Security and Rescue Exhibition, Securika CIPS 2016. Caspian Construction Week created necessary conditions to develop the sector and to achieve strategically important international agreements.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Caspian Construction Week, Deputy Minister of Economy Niyazi Safarov said that the priority of strengthening the economy of Azerbaijan has been the development of non-oil sector. In the context of this statement, current exhibitions provide a good indicator of the development of modern production. Major experts and industry leaders emphasized the outlook for large-scale changes in the construction industry of Azerbaijan. This is a long-awaited event for many experts from different countries, especially the permanent members of the project, which for more than twenty years considered BakuBuild as the most important professional event in the field of architecture and construction, design and maintenance.

This year BakuBuild brought together circa three hundred companies from 26 nation states. National pavilions are presented by Italy, the UAE and Iran. It is important to note that this year BakuBuild coincided with a significant date in the history of our country - Azerbaijan celebrates the 25th anniversary of the restoration of its independence. Thus, the exhibition was marked by the festive feeling of both the exhibitors and visitors.

The tradition of successful work of the exhibition is based on the fact that BakuBuild 2016 ensures a wide range of current products and services. As such, the exhibition included presentations of many products, innovations and services; participating companies gave a detailed account of their products, shared their experiences and answered questions of professionals regarding performance and quality indicators of their products. Many visitors took the advantage of the designers’ advice and consulted with the representatives of major construction companies. Those who were engaged in the repair and improvement of their homes received professional advice from the experts free of charge. The distinctive feature of this year’s exhibition was an active participation of furniture companies from Azerbaijan, Italy, Ukraine and other countries, who were offering a wide selection of luxury furniture.

Obviously, such a great way to draw attention to the exhibition could not but positively impact the number of visitors. In general, the exhibition has summarized all the subtleties and secrets of modern urban planning, defined the concept of a comfortable, efficient and environmentally independent housing of the XXI century.

Aquatherm Baku in 2016 brought together 60 companies from Azerbaijan, Germany, Italy, China, Russia, and Finland. Turkish companies participated with a large group. Among the newcomers this year are the companies from Uzbekistan (AKFA Group of Companies) and Egypt (EGIC). The exhibition is also attended by such well-known brands as Arcelik, BOSCH, Harvia, Immergas, Mitsubishi, E.C.A., Rehau, Trox, Unipump, SPK and VENT.

Traditionally, the exhibition demonstrates the current industry innovations. Among these innovations are the Bavlenets submersible vibration pumps with upper and lower water intake, which are made from high-quality materials (UNIPUMP, Russia); new Enjoy wall-mounted thermostats with iconographic displays for convenient user-operation in any language (Cewal S.P.A. Italy); the state of the art software to design engineering systems for buildings (LiNear GmbH); the Ecodense high efficiency condensation boilers (Ecostar Burners); the Strong heavy-duty ball valves for the plumbing systems of high-rise buildings, main pipelines and special facilities (Profactor Armaturen Gmbh); wireless control of the heating system, as well as electrical and lighting devices (Watts Industries Deutschland Gmbh).

Abundance of business proposals from foreign partners stems from their ever increasing interest in the Azerbaijani market. This process is further expanding the geographical span of debutants.

Securika CIPS 2016 is the only international trade event in the region in the field of security. This is a recognized business platform which provides the participants with a unique opportunity to establish professional contacts for further mutually beneficial development of the industry business. Securika CIPS has undergone a rebranding and is presented in a new brand for the first time this year. It involves 16 companies from Azerbaijan, China, Russia, the USA and Turkey. Exhibitors showcase hardware security and CCTV surveillance, emergency rescue equipment, information security devices, smart cards, ID-technologies, turnstiles, access control and integrated security systems. In the Fire Safety Systems Sector, the experts are invited to get acquainted with fire safety systems; fire and burglar alarms; fire safety cameras; sensors; fire detectors; fire-fighting equipment for special purposes; and much more. Many exhibitors have expressed their desire for a long-term cooperation with the project organisers. Thus, the brand Securika CIPS has become a well-recognized name in the world and attracted the attention of major players in the market.

The organisation of the exhibition involves the ITE’s worldwide network of offices and partners. Among them are ITE London, EUF (Turkey), GIMA (Germany), ITE Gulf (UAE), Invernizzi Group (Italy), ITE China (China) and ITE Poland (Poland). Their hard work and coordinated efforts make the exhibition interesting and provide for an extensive foreign representation.
